The Bible Baptist Church Summer Camp PDF Print E-mail
Written by Geneha Kim

During Bible Baptist Church's last summer camp, we enjoyed lots of fun and heard a great variety of preachers.  During last camp's meal, our excellent chef served us delicious salmon with sauce.  Everyone had a great time with games like Capture the Flag at Nighttime, Zonk, Football, Food Contest, and many others.  Being in an atmosphere where you hear Spirit-filled singing, preaching, and testmony, you will feel like your Spirit got revived up to Heaven.  The food was delicious, the games were fun, the fellowship was great, the songs were stirring, the testimonies were touching, and the preachings brought much conviction.  If you want to come to a camp that is on line with the Bible and filled with excitement, then drop by.  We would love to have you, and you will experience a complete different atmosphere of awesome Christian fellowship.  This time, people all over from San Jose, Palm Springs, and Korea will be coming to this camp.  This would probably be the best camp that we are going to have yet.  Look forward to it!

Peter the Rock of Catholicism PDF Print E-mail
Written by Geneha Kim

Catholics may argue that Jesus said the church is founded on “this rock,” so that rock is Peter (Matt. 16:18-19).  Since Peter is the first pope, the church must be founded on other popes as well.  Therefore, it makes sense that the Christian church should obey the popes.  What Protestant ministers would do to prove that the rock is Christ is by turning to Greek lexicons.  However, there are Catholic defenders that can do the same move as well.  Thus, we have Protestants and Catholics battling back and forth with Greek words, rather than turning to the scriptures for the final authority.  A true believer ought to rely on the word of God as the final authority for all matters of doctrine.  So in the case of the rock in Matthew 16, who does the Bible refer to as the rock, the foundation of the Christian church?

Soul Sleep PDF Print E-mail
Written by Geneha Kim

Some people claim that after you die, you sleep.  Your soul does not go to Hell, but rather it just sleeps.  Job 14:10-12 shows a man not waking up, but rather being asleep.  Ecclesiastes 9:5 shows the dead not being conscious of anything.  Ezekiel 18:20 shows that a soul dies, not stay alive.  Genesis 3:19 shows that we will all return to dust, not stay conscious.  These are the verses that they will use to "prove" that there is no such place as an afterlife for the soul after death.  It dies, and it will stay asleep until the Great White Throne of Judgment.  This doctrine is known as "Soul Sleep."  These religious individuals reject the idea that a soul immediately leaves the body after death.  As soon as a human is deceased, there is no Hell for one to burn, and there is no Heaven for one to enter.  However, the Bible gives a different side to their contrary view of the soul.

Eternal Security PDF Print E-mail
Written by Geneha Kim

Once a person receives Christ as Savior, can that same individual lose salvation? Sadly, there are multitudes of Christians who believe in the possibility of losing their place in Heaven. Those of different religions are constantly worried whether they are truly saved or not, so they try to keep their salvation through their good works. But nowhere in the Bible does it say that a saved soul under the Church Age can go to Hell when failing to stay faithful to God. No matter what sin that a believer commits in the future, God secures His child permanently.  Nothing and no other being has the power to take away the salvation of a saint. This wonderful promise of God is known to many as "eternal security."  Observe the following verses:
